It was considered novel food . Regarding olive polyphenols, a request under Article 4 was submitted to the Greek Novel Food competent authority . It was considered novel in food . The outcome of the consultation is also published on the following Commission link: https://food.ec.europa.eu/food-safety/novel-food/consultation-process-novel-food-status_en. The status in food supplements was not part of the request and has not been evaluated.
